| The West Memphis Masons are a fraternal group of men who profess a belief in God that aims to make good men better. West Memphis Free and Accepted Masons Lodge No. 737 are under the jurisdiction of the Grand Lodge of Arkansas. West Memphis 737 supports the city of West Memphis and it citizens in many projects including the Steudlein Learning Center Easter Egg Hunt, the Sheltered Workshop Pancake Breakfast (check presentation pictured above) , and many other projects. Many of the founding Fathers were Masons including George Washington, Ben Franklin and John Hancock. As well as Presidents, Governors, Mayors, Ministers, and the average man next door. There are currently 1.7 millions members, although membership has been in decline since 1960. When most people think of masons or freemasons they think we are a secret organization. The biggest secret in masonry is that nothing is secret except the token pass grip and word. Our meeting is nothing more than good fellowship and a dinner, followed by a business meeting. No one is every asked to become a member. It is up to you to ask. Therefore our slogan: “2 BE 1 ASK 1” |
